Terms and Conditions
Plain-language summary
Innovadata helps businesses find, filter and download company data from official and publicly available sources. Through our service, you can build datasets based on country, industry, location, turnover, employee count and other business-related filters. The selected dataset is usually delivered as an Excel file.
We do not sell secret, hidden or unlawfully collected data. Our data comes from official business registers, public government sources or other legally available sources. We process, clean and structure this data so it is easier to use for sales, market research, CRM enrichment, business analysis, KYC support and similar B2B purposes.
If you purchase a digital dataset and choose immediate delivery, we make the file available right after payment. Because this is digital content, the order usually cannot be cancelled or refunded once the file has been made available, unless required by law or unless we fail to deliver.
1. Definitions
Innovadata, "we", "us" or "our" means Innovadata OÜ.
Customer, "you" or "user" means the person, company or organisation using the website, submitting a query, purchasing a dataset or using API access.
Dataset means a digital file or data package prepared by Innovadata, for example an XLSX file containing company data.
Official sources means public business registers, government data sources, tax authority data, company registers or other publicly and legally available sources.
Digital content means a dataset, file, API response or other content delivered electronically.
2. What Innovadata does
Innovadata provides a company data search, filtering and download service. The service helps customers identify companies in selected markets and create datasets based on chosen filters.
Depending on the country and source data, a dataset may include fields such as:
- company name;
- registry code or organisation number;
- legal form and company status;
- address;
- industry classification codes (EMTAK, NACE, EVRK, SNI, PKD);
- turnover or financial indicators, where available from public sources;
- employee count, where available;
- board members or authorised representatives, where published in public registers;
- email address, phone number or website, where lawfully available;
- for Sweden, register attributes such as export and import marking, owner category and stock-exchange listing, and the company's workplaces (branches) with their addresses, size and location.
Not all data fields are available in every country. The exact content of a dataset depends on the selected country, filters, sources and the availability of public data.
3. Data sources and reliability
Innovadata uses official, public or legally available data sources. We do not guarantee that every data row is always complete, current or error-free, because source data may change or contain inaccuracies.
Our role is to make public company data easier to search, compare, filter and export. We clean, structure and harmonise data, but we do not create official registry records ourselves and cannot be responsible for errors in original public sources.
If you notice an error in the data, please contact us at support@innovadata.eu. We will review and, where possible, correct or update the data.
4. Ordering and payment
You can select a country, apply filters and place an order on the website. The price is shown before you complete the purchase.
Innovadata may change its prices, credit rates, plans, free-credit amounts, their validity periods and trial lengths at any time and without prior notice. The price shown at checkout applies to that order. Changes do not affect orders already paid, credits already granted or trials already started.
New accounts receive a one-time welcome bonus of €30 in credits on completing registration. Bonus credits are valid for 7 days from the grant, are not refundable and are not paid out. API and MCP access includes a one-time free trial of 7 days, granted on completing registration. Both are promotional benefits that Innovadata may change or withdraw at any time; a bonus or trial already granted keeps the terms that applied when it was granted.
Payment is processed through a secure payment provider (e.g. bank link or card payment). After successful payment, we deliver the purchased digital dataset or make it available for download.
If a technical issue prevents delivery, contact support@innovadata.eu. We will resend the file or provide another reasonable solution.
5. Immediate digital delivery, withdrawal and refunds
Datasets, API responses and monitor reports are digital content. We deliver them electronically: a dataset as soon as you pay for it, an API response when you request it and a monitor report on the monitor's schedule.
If you buy as a consumer (a private person acting for purposes outside your trade, business or profession), EU law gives you 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract, counted from the day the contract is made. For digital content, this right ends for what has been delivered if, before delivery, you expressly asked for immediate delivery and acknowledged that you would lose the right, and we confirmed this to you by email. We therefore ask private customers to tick a separate box before delivery, and we email them a copy of the statement they ticked:
- Website checkout: "I ask Innovadata to deliver the dataset immediately after payment. I understand that I lose my right of withdrawal once it is delivered."
- Dataset in the portal: "I ask Innovadata to deliver this dataset immediately. I understand that I lose my right of withdrawal once it is delivered."
- API key: "I ask Innovadata to deliver data through the API immediately, with each request. I understand that I lose my right of withdrawal for data already delivered."
- Monitor: "I ask Innovadata to start this monitor immediately. I understand that I lose my right of withdrawal for reports already delivered."
A credit top-up is a prepayment, not digital content. If you are a private customer, you can withdraw from a top-up within 14 days of payment: we refund the paid credits you have not spent, to the original payment method, within 14 days of your notice. Bonus credits are not refunded.
If you are a private customer and withdraw from a monitor within 14 days of starting it, we refund the unused days of the paid period, counted from your notice.
To withdraw, send a clear statement to support@innovadata.eu within the 14 days. You do not have to give a reason. You may use this model withdrawal form, but you do not have to:
- To Innovadata OÜ, Ümera tn 28-60, 13816 Tallinn, Estonia, support@innovadata.eu
- I/We (*) hereby give notice that I/We (*) withdraw from my/our (*) contract for the supply of the following digital content (*) / for the provision of the following service (*):
- Ordered on (*) / received on (*):
- Name of consumer(s):
- Address of consumer(s):
- Signature of consumer(s) (only if this form is notified on paper):
- Date:
- (*) Delete as appropriate.
The monthly API plans are sold to companies only.
A refund may also be possible if:
- payment was taken but the dataset was not delivered;
- you received the wrong file;
- the file is technically unusable and we cannot fix it within a reasonable time;
- a refund is required by law.
A refund is usually not provided if:
- you changed your mind after receiving the file;
- you selected the wrong filters;
- you downloaded the file but no longer wish to use it;
- some data fields were not available in public sources, unless we specifically promised those fields during purchase.
6. How you may use the data
You may use the purchased dataset for your own internal business purposes, such as:
- finding B2B sales leads;
- conducting market research;
- enriching your CRM;
- mapping potential customers or partners;
- supporting KYC, due diligence or business background checks;
- statistical, commercial or strategic analysis.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the data complies with applicable laws, including GDPR, e-privacy, advertising, direct marketing and competition law requirements.
7. Prohibited use
You may not use Innovadata services or datasets for:
- unlawful activities;
- harassment, discrimination or harm against individuals;
- mass spam or unlawful direct marketing;
- unauthorised consumer marketing;
- inferring or profiling sensitive personal data;
- making credit, insurance, employment or other decisions with significant legal or personal effects without a proper legal basis;
- reselling, publishing or redistributing the dataset without Innovadata's written permission;
- building a competing database or service;
- automated scraping, bypassing security measures or abusing the service.
8. GDPR and personal data
Some datasets may include personal data, such as names of board members, authorised representatives or business contact details, where such data is lawfully available from public sources.
Innovadata processes such data transparently and for limited business-related purposes. Our service is focused on B2B company data, not private-life profiling of individuals.
When you use a dataset in your own business — for example in sales outreach, CRM systems or marketing campaigns — you are responsible for having a valid legal basis for that use. In a B2B context, legitimate interest may often apply, but you must assess whether your specific use is lawful, necessary and balanced against the rights and freedoms of the individuals concerned.
You are responsible for ensuring that:
- data is used only for lawful purposes;
- individuals receive appropriate privacy information where required;
- objections to direct marketing are respected, including the marketing blocks recorded in public registers. In Sweden these are SCB's reklamspärr (post) and telefonspärr (phone); they apply to a company and to each of its workplaces, and a channel under such a block is not delivered to you;
- email and electronic marketing rules are followed;
- data is not stored longer than necessary;
- data is deleted or updated where legally required.
More information about how Innovadata processes personal data is available in our Privacy Policy.
9. Data accuracy and updates
Innovadata updates data regularly, but the speed and completeness of updates depend on original public sources and national registers. Company status, contact details, board members, turnover, employee count or other data may change over time.
A dataset reflects the data available at the time it was created or last updated. We do not guarantee that the same company data will remain unchanged after delivery.
10. File format and technical use
Datasets are usually delivered in XLSX format or another format shown on the website. You are responsible for having suitable software to open and use the file.
If the file cannot be opened due to a technical error, contact support@innovadata.eu. Where possible, we will provide a corrected file or alternative format.
11. API access, plans and monitors
API and MCP use is charged from your credits per company row returned, at the price shown for each country. A company's history and, for Sweden, its workplaces are charged as one row each and are free when there is nothing to return. Requests are limited to 300 per minute per API key; further technical limits are described in the API documentation.
Monthly plans are sold to companies only. The all-countries plan and the per-country plan waive per-row billing for the countries they cover. "Unlimited" means that rows are not billed one by one; the rate limit above still applies. Each payment buys one month of access from the moment the payment is confirmed, and paying before a period ends adds another month. A plan does not renew by itself: to keep it, you pay again in your dashboard. If a period ends without a new payment, API use returns to per-row billing and we tell you by email, unless you told us in the dashboard that you will not renew. Either way, access stays until the paid period ends. A price change applies from your next payment; a period already paid keeps its price. If we stop offering a country during a paid period, we refund the unused part of that country's fee on the per-country plan; on the all-countries plan, you can end the plan and we refund the unused part of the period.
Monitors are charged from your credits once per 30-day period, when the first report of the period is produced. You can pause or cancel a monitor at any time; a cancelled monitor is not charged again.
Paid credits do not expire. Bonus credits expire as described in section 4.
You must not share API keys with third parties, publish them in code repositories or use the API in a way that damages service availability or exceeds the usage limits.
We may temporarily suspend API access if there is a security risk, misuse, a payment issue or significant technical load.
12. Intellectual property and licence
The Innovadata website, data structure, data model, export logic, interface, texts, brand elements and technical solution belong to Innovadata OÜ or its licensors.
A purchased dataset is provided under a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence. You may use it for your own internal business purposes. You may not resell, publish, redistribute or make available the dataset in full or in substantial part, or use it to create a competing service, without our written permission.
Data from Statistics Sweden (SCB) keeps its source note wherever you show it or, with our permission, pass it on: "Källa: SCB. Egen bearbetning av Innovadata OÜ." ("Source: Statistics Sweden, processed by Innovadata OÜ" in other languages). Every file already carries it on its Sources sheet.
13. Service availability
We aim to keep Innovadata available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, third-party services, payment provider issues or problems with source data availability.
We are not liable for short-term interruptions if we have acted reasonably and in good faith.
14. Limitation of liability
Innovadata is liable to the customer only to the extent required by applicable law.
We are not liable for indirect loss, lost profit, lost sales opportunities, reputational damage, misuse of data by the customer, or the customer's own marketing, sales, legal or business decisions.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where this is not permitted by law, including liability for intentional misconduct or mandatory consumer rights.
15. Customer responsibilities
You confirm that:
- you provide accurate contact and billing details;
- you use the service lawfully;
- you check the selected country, filters and estimated dataset scope before purchase;
- you do not use the dataset for prohibited purposes;
- you are responsible for your own campaigns, CRM use, data processing and direct marketing compliance.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example due to changes in the service, law, pricing or data sources. The updated terms are published on this page with a new date. For important changes, we may also notify customers by email or through the website.
An order is governed by the terms that were in force at the time of purchase, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
17. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia, unless mandatory consumer protection rules provide otherwise. If a problem occurs, please contact us first at support@innovadata.eu. We will try to find a reasonable solution.
If you are a consumer, you may also have additional mandatory rights under EU law and the law of your country of residence.
18. Contact
If you have questions about these terms, data, orders, privacy or usage rights, contact us:

19. Communications and marketing
We send service emails whether or not you consent to marketing, because we need them to provide the service. They include account verification and password resets, payment confirmations and invoices, the datasets and reports you ordered, payment reminders, security alerts and notices of important changes to these terms.
We send product news and offers only if you have ticked the separate, optional marketing box at registration or switched it on in your account settings. They include promotional reminders, for example about expiring bonus credits, a low balance, an unfinished registration or a saved selection. Creating an account or accepting these terms is not consent to marketing. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). For marketing by email, § 103¹ of the Estonian Electronic Communications Act (elektroonilise side seadus) also requires consent.
You can withdraw consent at any time, free of charge, by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, switching marketing emails off in your account settings or writing to support@innovadata.eu. Withdrawal does not stop service emails and does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on your consent before you withdrew it.
